The Crazy Noodle
During my recent trip to Memphis, Tennessee, I stopped by The Crazy Noodle, a Korean-style noodle shop located in Midtown Memphis. Other than being located in an artsy area of Memphis, it did not scream ramen shop from the outside! However, I am also not good at judging the looks of restaurants from the outside look but rather by their food.
We sat down and were quickly greeted by a happy waitress with an over-abundance of southern hospitality. I asked about their options and specifically if they offered vegan-friendly items in their menu. She quickly pointed out that pretty much anything could be made vegan in the menu as everything was freshly made and prepared at the shop. I must indicate they were very accommodating to include pointing out certain allergens in their menu. We ended up settling for an appetizer and ramen, as I love ramen. However, I warn you, make sure you come with an appetite to this place, as it will fill you up. As far the appetizer, we had the Veggie Jeon (be sure to ask for it without the eggs), and then for the main course, we had the Vegetable Ramen and the Miso Ramen. Truly delicious! I only wish I had more room in my stomach to eat more!
All in all, this was a fantastic place to eat, chat, and enjoy some good Memphis-style ramen. Great noodle shop for both vegans or vegetarians seeking Korean-style noodles or ramen, as well as others with certain food allergens. Make sure you stop by The Crazy Noodle on your next visit to Memphis!
