A Must Have Vegan Summer Wine
Off of the hustle and bustle of the main thoroughfare in Napa Valley lies O’Brien Estate a quiet winery that provides spectacular views and a peaceful retreat rooted in romance. A romance that owners, Bart and Barb O’Brien infused into their Romantic Label Wines. After a long, hot day of trekking up and down the many Napa Valley Vineyards, O’Brien Estate Winery was like a retreat from the well beaten tourist path of St Helena Highway (Highway 29). Best of all, O’Brien Estate Winery provides vegan-friendly wines.
Under shady trees facing the vineyard overlooking the mountains, we started the O’Brien Estate romance infused wine journey, with Fascination. The sipping of Fascination, coupled with the atmosphere of the winery made me want to kick up my feet, lay back, and absorb the scenery. Fascination is a Sauvignon Blanc variety, that simply said, is a good summer classic, refreshing wine, best consumed by itself, with a light entrée, or a citrusy infused meal.
The following are my tasting notes of the vegan-friendly wine, Fascination:
Fascination is a clear pale golden wine. The wine has a moderate aroma with hints of grass, green pepper, lemon, grapefruit, apricot, and light scent of vanilla flower. In addition, the wine is semi-dry, with a medium body, and tart acidity. There is a low presence of soft tannins. Fascination is a fair balanced wine with moderate flavors of pear, honeysuckle, with a slight buttery finish lasting about five seconds.
Fascination left a memorable impression and I will definitely have Fascination in my wine cellar…Until the next bottle!
